Jackson is a much happier little man today. Unfortunately, I missed most of it today because I had to work. Katie Grace was so excited that Kristen was coming over and playing with her! She kept trying to tell me bye this morning so I would leave!
Words that Jackson can say
More
Mama
Maa - milk
All done
get it
bye bye
atie - Katie
Not bad for only 14 months! I guess he is trying to keep up with Katie Grace!

Ups and Downs
Today Jackson had his adenoids removed and tubes put in. This is after 6 months of sinus and ear infections that he and Katie Grace kept sharing! It usually is an outpatient surgery, but he is still little so the dr wants to keep him overnight.
He did great! We had to be at Children's at 5:30 am! That means I was up at 4:15 am which is crazy that I am still awake, but if you saw the recliner I am suppose to sleep in you would understand why!
He was ready to eat as soon as we got out of the car. He kept signing more meaning he wanted food NOW! So I couldn't get a smile out of him before surgery.

When we were finally able to see him in the PACU I could hear him crying as soon as we entered. He was most unhappy and made us all a little worried with his mad cries and crazy breathing. He stabilized and was able to move to the floor but unfortunately there were no more real rooms left so we are in overflow which means a very tiny room with a little window looking out at scaffolding. He has had some issues with his breathing and heart rate but nothing too crazy. Just the reason for us to stay for observation.
He is sleeping now so hopefully he will be ready to go home in the morning! Kami, Amy and Robey brought us dinner tonight and Jackson was ready to play!
Yes he is climbing under the crib and Kami is rescuing him!!

Just another day
Yes, I know it is amazing how the second child gets such a different setup then the first! This is the first time I have even posted about Jackson and he is almost 4 months old. He is an amazing little guy! He is a really good
Sleeper at nite which makes a happy mommy! Beginning Dec 5, he started sleeping 8-4!!! And today slept 8-7:30!! He loves talking and is very easy going, unless he is hungry! He is eating 5 times a day at 5 oz. each.

One Crazy 4th of July Weekend!
Is it possible to cram too much into one long weekend?

Hope everyone had a great long weekend!
We started off the weekend on Friday and the splash park and pool with Aunt Boo! It was kinda cold and overcast, but we squeezed it in between rain drops. Katie Grace didn't mind, she had some big fun!
Here we are going strong without an afternoon nap. And for those of you who know us, we are very scheduled, but not today!
Then we met a group of grandparents and kiddos and grandkiddos for dinner at the lake. Katie Grace loved feeding the ducks and seeing the turtles and fish. Luckily, Pops was there to catch her when she leaned a little too far over! She would feed the ducks and then take a couple bites and say "Katie eat duck".
Here she is trying to hold Sloane and I am looking a little worried!
The next day we went to see the fireworks in Town Square! Katie Grace loved them! After they were finished, she turned o me and said "More, please" Once again, another late night!
Then we ended the weekend with the Ranger's game! Katie Grace loved the music they would play before each player came up to bat. She would get down and dance! She also loved eating the Big Kahuna, but who doesn't!!
Hope everyone had a great long weekend!

Tea Anyone?
The other night Robert, Katie Grace had a tea party in the living room. Robert put together her table and Katie Grace thought it was time for a party! She has really started to pretend play alot! She loves feeding her bears and loving on her baby doll. She always asks me to wrap her baby in a blanket!
The things she does really makes Robert and I laugh! The other day she tried to give Robert Scout her stuffed dog in exchange for his laptop. She really thought it was an even trade!

Catch Up Post
Okay, here is another post to cover several months all in one! We had a very exciting Thanksgiving in South Carolina with Robert's family! Katie Grace did great and had big fun playing with all of her cousins! Here is a photo of her with all of the cousins.

Then came Christmas, we decorated the tree before we left for South Carolina since Robert would be driving back the weekend after Thanksgiving. Katie Grace really enjoyed getting to play with the decorations.
We had a very fun Christmas! We went to the Christmas Eve service at church and for some reason I thought there would be childcare. I was wrong and very unprepared! She sat with us in church and helped Micah sing his solo. She really liked the candles for the candlighting. She thought they were morrocos so she banged them together as loud as she could. All in all she did really well. Thank goodness it was only an hour.
It snowed and snowed on Christmas Eve and we got to enjoy our first white Christmas in Texas! Katie Grace liked helping everyone open their presents! Here are a few pics of December! It was a very fast month around here!
